Yeah they’ve been about for a while.

Interesting product, but unfortunately no immediate use to me as I don’t have a camera that uses SD cards, and even then I’d still find it easier just plugging the card into a card reader – faster too if I’m doing a whole card dump (32GB doesn’t shift about too easily)

I can think of circumstances where professionals might want to use this though and where it would be cheaper than the manufacturers own wi-fi solutions for the cameras.

Did you not know about them? Been on market for a while, range can be limited, but then there is an entire wifi inside an SD card! Big capacities expensive. Remote upload requires online account or firewall changes.

We have been playing the “tower” version, which is only a very small variation on the championship rules. I don’t think it makes much difference, except that it probably speeds up the game a bit.
